The band released their debut self-titled album in 1998, which was followed by ‘Rated R’, in 2000, but it was their third full-length effort Queensof the Stone Age had their first concert in Seattle, Washington at the OK Hotel on November 20, 1997. Cette formation musicale réunit les producteurs de musique électronique berlinois Modeselektor et Apparat soit Gernot Bronsert et Sebastian Szary de Modeselektor, et Sascha Ring, d’Apparat. En 2012 ils ont publié un premier album qui n’a pas manqué de séduire instantanément les aficionados d’electronique. 4 ans après leur séparation, Mandarat effectue donc son grand retour fin 2021, avec deux concerts, un au Sónar et l’autre à Berlin. Ensuite, le trio Berlinois fera escale sur la scène du théâtre antique le samedi 11 juin. L’ouverture de la billetterie aura lieu le 11 mars 2022. Rendre le temps de faire les choses bien, apporter de la qualité, un nouvel élan plus positif, plus serein, c’est la volonté du groupe à l’heure actuelle. Ce vendredi 13 novembre 2020 marquera le triste anniversaire des 5 ans des attentats du 13 novembre 2015 survenus au Bataclan, aux terrasses du Carillon, du Petit Cambodge, du Café Bonne Bière et du Casa Nostra ainsi qu'au Stade de France. Des commémorations qui, en raison des conditions sanitaires actuelles et du reconfinement, seront en comité en hommage aux victimes des attentats, le groupe Queens of the Stone Age a décidé de diffuser, ce vendredi 13 novembre 2020, un concert live acoustique inédit sur sa chaîne Youtube, à 18 heures. Josh Homme, chanteur et musicien fondateur de Queens of the Stone Age, est également un membre fondateur - et occasionnel - du groupe Eagles of Death Metal, qui se produisait au Bataclan au moment des attentats. Josh Homme n'était pas sur scène ce soir-là. La diffusion du concert inédit de Queens of the Stone Age, enregistré en Australie le 3 septembre 2018, au MONA Museum of Old and New Art lors de leur dernière tournée mondiale, sera accompagnée d'un appel aux dons. Des dons qui seront reversés à deux associations Life For Paris, qui soutien les victimes et familles de victimes, et The Nick Alexander Memorial Trust, qui fournit des instruments de musique dans les milieux défavorisés au Alexander était le responsable du merchandising des Eagles of Death Metal.
